Dear Customers,

As an industrial fabricator of waste into alternative fuel, called RDF (refuse derived fuels), we managed to become the leader in that market within 12 years.

With the necessary vision for new originating markets and an advance manufacturing technology Zajons logistic company produce, 24 hours a day, a qualitative and high-class alternative fuel. Our own laboratory controls continuously the excellence of the material.

A lot of customers from the paper industry, automotive industry as well as power stations appreciate the reliability, capability and the cooperative collaboration with the Zajons logistic company.

Be heartly welcome

Sincerely your
Rudolf Zajons

What are alternative fuels?

Substitute or short, RDF (refuse derived fuel) is the passion of Rudolf Zajons, founder of the Zajons logistics disposal company in the industrial area south of Lüneburg. At the site in Melbeck the innovative company operates an approved treatment facility for waste from the paper industry and other waste types. At over 60,000 sq meters, 150,000 tonnes RDF are produced per year around the clock. The main plant, the actual processing facility, includes input, output, buffering, and bale storage.

The alternative fuels consist primarily of small pieces of shredded plastic. With a calorific value of about 16,500 kJ / kg, which corresponds roughly to double the power grip of lignite, the substitute fuel is used in power plants. The power plants replace primary energy sources such as coal or oil, because on the one hand they are saving money for the fuel procurement and on the other hand, less CO2 is consumed.

Through the recycling of waste, the Zajons logistics disposal company has a significant, often unrecognized contribution to environmental protection. Zajons brings back the energy consumed and unburdened the environment. With this business idea Zajons causes a rethinking of the paper industry, since its founding in 1997. Meanwhile several large paper mills operate own RDF power plants to handle their waste themselves.

Not only the paper industry has these alternative fuels implanted, but also other energy-intensive industries such as the cement production. Who uses these alternative fuels to a significant degree as well.

In the company are acting currently 40 employees, many of them have been the first few days here. Since last year Zajons has trainees as merchants and electrician. This year an own analysis laboratory was established to control the quality of the input materials as well as the produced fuel. “Quality and reliability is a major role to Zajons logistics. Only in this way it is, according to Rudolf Zajons, possible to survive on an increasing competition.” The success of the company is especially superior to the motivation and dedication of the staff.

Also for the future, Rudolf Zajons has still big plans. His next coup is to set up another plant for processing waste, which actually is not there yet.

The Zajons logistic disposal company plans to build a treatment for wind wings. These are the rotor blades of wind turbines. Through so-called "repowering measures" older wind turbines will be upgrade by replacing the old rotor blades. What happens to the wings? Incineration in an incinerator is not due to the size and landfill is prohibited by law. The solution is to process the wings to substitute fuels. With a planned capacity expansion of 50,000 tonnes to 200,000 tonnes of waste, Zajons logistic company becomes the largest manufacturing site of RDF in Germany. When the new plant will be in service and by the appropriate utilization it will create up to 12 new jobs, additionally the staff for the special vehicles, to pick up and transport the wings of the wind turbines.

"If the relevant authorities play the game and everything goes well, the new factory will be in service at the end of the year. Then it is time to initiate a generational change, "said the 64-year old Rudolf Zajons, who wishes to retire slowly out of the business. To end this, Rudolf Zajons has already implemented a new management crew to follow up.
